Alan has undertaken a diverse litigation boutique private practice for over 40 years which presently focuses on employment law, commercial litigation, professional (solicitors) negligence and estate litigation. Practice areas include significant experience in personal injury claims, real estate litigation and family law.

As a seasoned litigator Alan has been involved in hundreds of meditations, as well as arbitration's and other dispute resolution mechanisms resolving a vast array of disputes. His style of practice recognizes and utilizes concerted attempts to resolve disputes whenever possible thorough negotiations and mediation and in doing so crafting creative solutions to disputes in order to achieve fair and equitable resolutions.

Knowledge and experience developed during over 40 years of a busy diverse litigation practice combined with strong interpersonal skills, humour and a pragmatic approach provide a strong and effective underpinning to his ability to facilitate resolution of disputes through mediation, and ability to adjudicate through arbitration.


Alan has taught Professional Practice in the Ontario Bar Admission Course and has on numerous occasions judged mediation competitions involving Law Students. He is a long-standing member of the Canadian Bar Association, Ontario Bar Association and Toronto Lawyers Association.


When not mediating, arbitrating or practicing law, Alan spends his time with diverse interests that include judging professional boxing (including world titles) around the world, attending live Indie-alternative music concerts, collecting vintage posters and competitive middle/long distance running on roads, track and trails at national and international levels. He is a longstanding member of the Ontario Athletics Commission, the International Boxing Federation and Athletics Canada.
