| Practice Description - | My mediation practice is dedicated to Labour and Employment disputes involving a range of issues including human rights, wrongful dismissal,disciplinary matters, harassment,long-term disability and return to work accomodation processes. I am also available to engage in early pro-active mediation and conflict resolution as a means to avoid litigation, grievance arbitation and human rights complaints. |
| Background - | I have been both a practicing lawyer, including in-house counsel and an arbitrator/mediator working in the field of Labour and Employment law since 1988. I was a Vice-Chair at the Ontario Labour Relations Board in 1995 & 1996, following which I ran a private Labour Arbitration practice. Since 2008 I have been a part-time Member of the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario where I have assisted parties in numerous mediations as well as adjudicating hearings. In February 2018, I was also appointed as an Arbitrator with the Grievance Settlement Board. My professional development includes The Advocates Society's Harvard Mediation Training Program,University of Western Ontario Tribunal Training Program, Corporate Circles Dispute Resolution Training and Adams ADR Services Mediation Training. |
