Practice Description - Dave serves as a mediator in labour relations, employment and related disputes. Dave also provides facilitation and training for collective bargaining.
Background - For over a decade I have focused on the employment relationship. I started as a union steward and worked my way up into the leadership of the largest paramedic only bargaining unit in Ontario, where, as president, I fostered productive collaborative labour relations. Once it became clear to me that collaboration could create value for both sides my interest in dispute resolution grew.

I obtained my BA in Labour Studies from York University and completed York University's dispute resolution certificate prior to becoming a Chartered Mediator with the Alternative Dispute Resolution Institute of Canada.

My experience as a paramedic and as a labour leader allows me to identify and triage the issues in employment conflict. As a mediator my focus is helping you work towards a solution. My style blends facilitative and evaluative mediation based on the needs of the parties.
Fees - $900 plus disbursements and HST for a half-day mediation and $1800 plus disbursements and HST for a full day mediation including preparation and travel within 150 km of the GTA.

I conduct mediations at an agreed location.
